The school encourages close involvement of parents from the outset and welcomes parental contact throughout the year. Regular written reports and assessments are provided. Open days are held throughout the year, and termly reports sent to all parents.
General environment
The school is based in the grounds of a fine Grade I listed Jacobean mansion, in the heart of the Wealden countryside on the Kent/Sussex borders. Set in 60 acres of parkland and gardens, the location provides a beautiful rural environment in which our pupils prosper.
Aims and philosophy
We treat every pupil as a unique individual and tailor our approach to suit the individual's needs. We build self-confidence by establishing and developing pupils' strengths, while tackling their specific learning difficulties. We encourage pupils to develop respect for themselves, for others and for their environment. All leavers go on to further or higher education, training, or employment.
