Special needs catered for
Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), Speech Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), anxiety and emotionally based school avoidance, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH).
Specialist facilities
A vocational learning suite with a workshop offering multi-trades, for example bricklaying, plastering and joinery and an Entry Level salon. Creative arts studio which includes a music and drama room. Clinical suite “The Den” where therapeutic services are delivered. Small classrooms with a focus on individual needs.
Support services provided
Clinical services available 5 days a week including SALT, drama and play therapy.
Home school links
Links with Stoke-On-Trent College and Inside Out Forest School provide enriching activities for pupils.
General environment
A bespoke environment taking creative inspiration from its historic mill building located on the boarded of the silk manufacturing industry. The school provides a calm and welcoming space where all children feel included. Children ae inspired and encourage to build their future.
Aims and philosophy
We aim to support the most vulnerable pupils in our communities to re-enter full-time education in a school setting. We offer a completely flexible, child-led curriculum that enables them to learn in a way that’s right for them while meeting their social, emotional and mental health needs through therapeutic approaches. We hold a steadfast belief that all pupils can achieve and we aim to turn the curve on a child’s educational journey and help them achieve a better and brighter future.
Staff qualification and selection
A staff team with a diverse range of qualifications and experiences with education mentors and specialist teachers and tutors supporting lesson delivery to ensure all pupils reach their goals.
