Specialist facilities

At Westbourne School, we pride ourselves on offering a broad and balanced curriculum which is uniquely tailored to meet the individual needs of each pupil. By creating a blend of academic and vocational learning opportunities, we will strive to ensure that each pupil achieves success, regardless of what form it may take.

The ground floor consists of a variety of purpose-built vocational units with high quality facilities and equipment which give pupils a sense of real working environments. There are also horticulture spaces on site and the school is close to a variety of large woods and country parks which provide opportunities for Outdoor Education, Duke of Edinburgh and Forest Schools.

Support services provided

Beyond the core educational team, we also have a dedicated pastoral team and therapeutic intervention, currently in the form of Speech and Language Therapy and Counselling. This will increase as pupil numbers do

General environment

Westbourne School is set in a spacious Victorian building which provides large working spaces for both academic and vocational learning.

• Positively contribute to your community & society

• Immerse yourself in every possible experience

• Restoratively review all incidents and use every experience as an opportunity to modify behaviour

• Empathise with others and understand the world around you.
